Since I'm moving soon, I went through everything I owned, getting rid of unnecessary things. It's amazing how much junk we hang on to because "we might need it someday"! Hah. But then in some ways... no, that stuffed parrot that I loved when I was 3 and the hairpins my grandmother used when she was my age are not necessary, but they do hold sentimental value. I'm not really the type to get attached to "stuff" but I did bring a few special items with me. I'm moving to a place I've never even been before and I need something to cheer up the currently empty house we'll be living in! :)
Oh Iam so very rubbish at this sort of thing!!!! Im so sentimental I keep alsorts and I hate letting things go,especially when it's anything to do with 'the boys' Good luck,I hope it goes well x
I am so bad about this -- it's one of the reasons when I clean I have to have a friend or my mom supervise me. Otherwise I end up spending all day not getting anything done. :D
I used to sort through packed away memories once a year, not to discard but just to relive. It's been awhile and might be fun to do again. Maybe thought I'm putting it off, because we hope in the next couple of years to move into our own house. That will no doubt inspire a lot of sorting through memories. :-)

I have the same problem...wait a minute- I've got a solution: when you come for dinner, I have a little job for you :)
Same here. I enjoy the trips down memory lane, but then get annoyed that I haven't sorted out as much as I hoped!
laughing housewife -- lol, only if we have dessert at my place :D
Elaine -- that's me too, but I've learned to just expect it and try and enjoy :)

Isn't that the truth! I always get sidetracked. :)

Yes they do ... and when I have a project to "clean and organize" -- I can way-sided by looking into them and the journey begins!! :)
