Dot calm

I took this photo yesterday but haven't had a chance to post it till now. I've been running around getting ready for the Vernal Equinox on Friday -- we celebrate that as our spring holiday, complete with goodie filled baskets, jelly beans and chocolate bunnies. Oh, and in case you might be wondering what a non-egg-eating vegetarian has for a spring holiday meal? Eggplant Lasagna, but of course, lol!

Wasn't too sure about the polka dot cardi when I tried it on at Target. The blouse I had on that day didn't do it justice and I was afraid it might be too busy. But with the teal tee from JC Penney and some simple jewelry I really like the serene ivory & gray combo.

The jeans are from Target as well, and the Maryjanes are secondhand.

See ya tomorrow...oh, and what with a name like Kayleigh do you suppose I might be wearin' a bit o'the green?

You chose wisely. The polka dot cardi will get much love, I predict!

What a cute cardi! It would look fab with red and black - very 40s retro.

Great combo, I love those colors together. Can't wait to see your green! From some reason, it didn't click with me until now that your name is Irish (duh!) - sort of off topic but I really love your name - so unique and beautiful!! Anyway, happy early St. Pat's.!

I like the cardi. The dots are great, not too busy since the colors are soft. I couldn't live without gray pieces.

I love the dots and I can't wait to see what fab green you have on for St Patty's Day. The lasagna recipe looks good. I may have to try it! Good thing my hubby loves tofu!

Sal, thanks, and I think your prediction is spot on (get it, SPOT on, lol!)...sorry, couldn't resist :D

Thanks Sheila -- oooh, I didn't really think about the retro look, but you are right, what a cool idea, thanks!

Shenanigans, thank you, I really don't know how I'd dress myself w/o stuff from good old Target :)

Trace, thanks! Kayleigh means various things, from "shelter from the storm" to "keeper of the keys" to "a social dance or gathering"...but my fave meaning is one word: slender. Pretty much says it all, lol!

Sallymandy, thank you! And I totally agree, grays are such a beautiful neutral, especially for a fair skinned lass such as meself :)

Hillary -- thanks :) And let me know if you try the lasagna, it's one of our faves. My husband (& kids) love tofu...then again we ARE vegans so to them it's not a big deal. My DD always thinks it's funny that people think tofu is weird :)

Thanks again everyone!!!
